Charm & Pin

My mom comes up with a load of special requests. Over the weekend I created this pin at her request. She had seen the pin for the class that Julie Sanford is teaching at Bead Fest Wire and put in her request..."Can you make me one of these pins?" My mom is a quilter and frequently goes to quilt shows and takes quilting classes. I don't honor all requests but I thought that this would be something different, after all I've never made a pin quite like this. Let me tell you, this was a lot of fun to make! I was enjoying just being out in my workshop anyway and having this come together was just the icing on the cake. I'm even planning on making a pin for myself.
Talented polymer clay artist, Christine over at Stories They Tell is creating a fabulous treasure for her sister in law, Vila who has been diagnosed with leukemia. Christine issued a call to the artist community. Anyone who wants to participate can make a charm, send it to Christine, and she is going to make a charm bracelet for Vila. Scoot on over to Christine's blog to see how you can participate.

  4. That pin is perfect for your mum the quilter. Now she won't have to wear one of those attractive conference badges. Your charm is gorgeous. I must get over there and send something off. It is such a heart warming cause.
