Recovering from BeadFest Wire

Over the weekend I attended BeadFest Wire hosted by Interweave and it was awesome! I've attended these events in the past although it has been a while. However, this time there was SO much more to look forward too. I was planning to meet some blog friends, Leslie and I were rooming together, and of course the shopping...no workshops this time.

Dinner with blog friends

Thanks for the picture Cindy

Friday was a whirlwind of activity. Shortly after I arrived, the infamous Kerry Bogert hosted a demo and created her Bang Gals bracelet. What a treat to watch her work, she is a wealth of information and made it look so easy. Then, Leslie and I meet up, we browsed the show and chit chatted. I loved having someone to hang out with at the show, it can get kinda boring with me, myself, and I. We meet up with Cindy, Jeanette, and Kerry for dinner. What a great time! It was just like we were old friends connecting again. That evening we attended "Meet the Instructors". I drooled over so many pieces, and enjoyed meeting and talking with the artists. The time just seemed to fly by.

Saturday it was time to get down to business...can you believe I hadn't made any purchases yet? and I wanted to leave around noon. So many beads to choose from...but the purchases that I am most excited about are the textured brass, hammers, and stamps that I acquired and a chain maille book by Anne Mitchell. Can't wait to get to work with these.

What a blast! I was exhausted when I got home...all the walking, riding, and a lack of sleep. But I'm planning on doing it all over again in August. I can hardly wait!
