Fusing

Not too long ago, Sharon at Sharon's Garden Jewelry, was giving away a class from beaducation. Lucky me, I was so fortunate to win! Yipee! I choose the Intro to Fusing class with Kriss Silva. I've done fusing in the past, but I always like to see other artist techniques or hear their tips. I've learned so much this way, so many helpful tidbits can be learned in a class that usually are just not possible to convey in a publication.

This class was chocked full of great tips for beginners. She thoroughly explained the different types of butane torches, and why she does "things" the way she does them. After viewing the class, I was inspired to create my own bracelet.

I'm not quite sure if I'm done with this bracelet or not. Oxidation is always a big decision for me, crazy I know, but I tend to over think the simple things. But, I'm thinking that it would really make the texture stand out. We'll see...hummm.

  1. Greta piece! I love the texture, so I would oxidize, but I like evertthing oxidized! Either way, it's a beauty!

  2. That turned out great. I won the Sit and Spin Rivet class, but haven't had the opportunity to make my pendant yet. I finally got everything I needed about a week ago or so, so am hoping to make my pendant this weekend. Love your bracelet.
