I love the transition of the season, holding onto the last bit of summer with the brisk mornings and warmer afternoons. The beach is a dream, the crowds are minimal, and the water is still warm, but no lifeguards (that stinks!) With the return of school, a chance to get back to a schedule after the chaos of summer, not saying that once school starts it's not just a chaotic...just scheduled chaos. And with the chaos of summer, I rarely have the chance to visit my bench : ( so with the welcoming of September I can get back out to my shop! This is great, considering most of my shows fall between September and November.
This past weekend, was one of the largest shows I participate in. It was a great success! The weather was wonderful, and the show was well attended. Being that my blog has been on hiatus, and I haven't shared many of my new pieces lately, I thought I'd share some of the pieces that found new homes over the weekend.
Are you seeing a pattern here? It seemed to be a blue, green kinda day.
Now, back to to enjoying September, which includes new work : )
Ooh that sea glass sign is divine! It was a good show - and it was great to see you!
ReplyDeleteI really like your perception and your ability of creating such beautiful pieces. Good job!
ReplyDeleteAll so very beautiful...glad that you had a great show. What a great kick off to the holiday season....
ReplyDeleteShelby, I can see why you enjoy September. The masses that left the beaches included me and I sure miss it! It seems it's busier than ever here actually now that school started!
ReplyDeleteYour new pieces are all gorgeous, and I especially love the middle necklace - it is striking and unusual. The colors are so pretty. I bet that one sold!
Shelby,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by my blog and chiming in on my silver question. It's nice to hear the perspective of someone actually selling silver! I'm still in a debate with myself over working with silver, but it was wonderful to have your input. Thank you!
Congratulations on having a great show. Those pieces are lovely, but I especially like that first pair of earrings. Lucky lady who purchased those! I too am finally getting back to some designing after a summer spent away from the studio.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you had a great show! Love the new pieces and color palette.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations....and I love the earrings most of all.
ReplyDeleteHi Shelby! Thanks so much for swinging by. I love your pieces here, and blue is my fav, so understand using that color so much. Glad to hear the show was a success, looks like anyone would fall in love with your work!! Take care, Riki
