The weather is still really nice here, so I've been out in the shop more than usual. I've really been trying to pull out some beads that I'm not sure why I purchased!?! Not because I don't like them, I do, but they are colors that I struggle with. Namely pink, I just don't do pink. So with Valentine's Day around the corner, I went with pink and hearts.

These are the earrings that I created for the 52 Pairs of Earrings a Year group. The hearts are sawed out of sterling silver then textured. The hearts dangle beneath a wire wrapped pastel pink lampwork disc. The earrings are oxidized, which really makes them look so much nicer. I like the contrast in color, the light pink against the dark wire.

these will be in my Etsy shop later today

I'm still not digging all the pink beads I have, what was I thinking! (banging head again the table). But I'm happy with the outcome of these earrings!

Have a great weekend!

  1. I love them....a perfect design!!!

  2. The earrings are really pretty! I love the texture you put on the hearts.

  3. Hi Shelby
You've done a great job with those earrings - they are really beautiful. Sometimes you can surprise yourself when you get outside your comfort zone with colours.
    Take care
