Buzzing

I always know it's spring, when the weather starts to warm, the calendar starts to fill with important happenings, and I'm flitting about buzzing here and there, hoping to get a little more done today than yesterday. Although that wasn't what was going on when I created these earrings, but merely dreaming of spring to come, yet again.

All A Buzz Earrings - Sterling & Thai Silver, and Swarovski Crystals

available in my Etsy shop

These earrings are published in the April issue of Bead Trends. As always, the photography in this issue is phenomenal. Believe it or not, I had totally forgotten that I sent these little beauties away until they once again arrived on my doorstep. I'm really fond of the little bee, but my favorite component of these earrings...the little sterling silver do-da's, love 'em!

Hope you are not to busy buzzing around this weekend. Have a good one!

Old News?

Here I go again...trying to play catch-up. I can't recall how long ago I receive the little white box, and I don't know if the September issue of Bead Trends is out in stores because my local B&N doesn't carry Bead Trends anymore...tears:(. At any rate, did you happen to see my bracelet in this month's issue of Bead Trends?

Just Believe...I totally loved this bracelet the minute I finished it, hence the submission. Copper, wood beads, organza ribbon, and rich fall colors...my fav! and perfect for fall.

Another sad note...my kids start back to school tomorrow...more tears : (  It's been such a wonderful summer, I can't believe it's over already.

Over Here...

Oh, yep, right here...I'm back, all though it's only momentarily. I can not believe it's nearly the end of August. We have been enjoying our cabin in central PA this month. It's the perfect place for a little rest and relaxation. There was plenty of wildlife, fishing, kayaking, swimming, reading, day trips, and very little beading. And I'm sad that all that has come to an end:( but we have one last trip planned to end the summer with a bang...We're heading to New York City! Just me and the kids...we are all very excited.

While I was away, the mail was piling up, and the August issue of Bead Trends was sitting on my doorstep waiting my arrival. I was all too excited to have a necklace published in this issue. The photography is fabulous! They really put forth the effort to make every piece of art "Pop".

Now, I have to make the most of my short time at home and get out into my workshop! There are less than 3 weeks until my next art show!

Have a great week!
