Getting Back

Saturday was a ...long...day. The Art's Festival was good but not as busy as it has been in the past. Normally, I'm swamped in the morning until about 1:00...not this year. The day got off to a slow start, and remained slow but steady all day long. Overall it was a good day though, I can't complain. Then Sunday I had a nice relaxing day with the family...it was a beautiful day and I didn't have a show to get ready for or any other pressing issues. We just relaxed and lounged for most of the day. Very Nice!

So anyway...I use to run on a regular basis, both to relieve stress and stay active. But last winter I came down with pneumonia and was unable to exercise at all for about 3 weeks. Therefore the next time I tried to go out and run...you know pick up where I left off...I almost died! So I kind of gave up on the running temporarily. And I kept blowing off getting back into running. You know the typical...it's too hot...I'm too busy...and so on. But I have said several times that once the Sept. art show was over I was going to get back into running. So this being said...Monday morning I threw on my running shoes and off I went. And wow...I have missed running so much! I probably pushed myself a little too much on Monday but I went out again today. I have a long way to go to get to where I want to be as far as my endurance goes but at least I'm on my way...

Tomorrow...I have to get back to my bench! I have been on hiatus the past couple of days and I have another show in 4 short weeks. This one is not quite as big but I need to stock back up on earrings.

  2. Ahh, craft fairs seem to be fickle this year! Lol

I was never a runner, and I share the thought of pain, except that pain lies in my knees :)

  3. Gorgeous beads. I've been meaning to start running again, but I know what you mean! It's hard to get back into once you've taken some time off!

I'm sorry that the show was a little slow, but I'm glad you had fun overall. And good luck getting ready for the next one!
