Friday evening, we will be attending the
Worcester Prep Gala at
Seacrets in Ocean City, MD. This is WPS's biggest fundraiser of the year, and since this is where my kids attend school, we are more than happy to attend. This year they asked if I'd be interested in donating a piece of jewelry. Of course! I was excited about donating an item, but a little nervous as well. Nervous because I'm not really good at marketing myself and my jewelry to people I know, or people my kids know. It's so much easier for me to try and sell to the unknown, or people who I've developed a relationship with through my business. Weird, yes? I don't know, it's just how I am. At any rate, I've donated, what I think is a wonderfully, beautiful bracelet, lots of oxidized sterling silver, and lovely lampwork beads.
I'm hopeful that this piece is well received by those in attendance, and it will bring in a little $$ for the school.
