While Poking Around

While putzing around in Michael's waiting for the kiddies to get out of school, I came across a new magazine, Belle Armoire Jewelry. I had not seen this magazine before in person but I knew that Deryn Mentock of Something Sublime had contributed to this issue and so after a super quick overview, I purchased the magazine. After all, I had over an hour to burn and I figured this would be less expensive than shopping.

I loved reading the articles and studying the project in this magazine. The creativity of some artists just amazes me! I love the looks of the mixed media/collage jewelry so I wanted to make something a little different than usual for me without going totally overboard. The next morning, after the kids went off to school, I dug through all my crafting stuff. And without much planning, Autumn Bliss was born. I am most pleased with it. I especially love the little coil do-dads that hang from the fiber and wire focal bead. I really enjoyed getting off the beaten path and creating this necklace, it was so much fun!

  1. Hi Shelby
I am amazed that you have never seen this magazine before...you'll recognize many different artists in there. You might want to get the back issues...they are all so gorgeous!!! This looks like a necklace from the "Charming Exchange" article. It turned out wonderful..and I love your twist on it! Those pearl dangles are really pretty.
